Done Deal: Martínez Seals Permanent Move To Chelsea

Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentina international goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa.

The experienced shot-stopper has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Premier League giants.

Martínez, 33, arrives at Stamford Bridge with a wealth of experience, having established himself as one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers during his time at Aston Villa.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper was also a key member of the Argentina squad that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Martínez Excited To Join Chelsea

Martínez expressed his delight at completing the move and is looking forward to beginning a new chapter of his career with Chelsea.

‘I’m delighted to be at this football club,’ Martinez said. ‘Coming to Chelsea, for me and my family, was an easy decision to make and I’m just over the moon – I can’t wait to get started,”Martínez told the club’s official website.

‘I want to be successful here. I’m someone who wants to win at everything I do and I want to bring that here to this football club because it’s a football club that wins titles, so I think it’s a good match.

‘I’m all passion and I play with my heart. I will give 100 per cent every game, every training session to make the club, my teammates and the supporters proud.’
