MTN Nigeria has crossed 100 million subscribers for the first time, becoming the country’s first telecom operator to reach the milestone and further widening its lead over rivals.
The company ended July with 100.86 million subscribers, according to the latest industry data from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), up from 98.64 million in June. It added an average of roughly 31,000 subscribers a day during the period, underscoring the scale of demand for its network in a market where mobile penetration is already high.
