Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has reacted to Judy Austin’s reported lawsuit against her, saying she is not losing sleep over the legal battle and is instead looking forward to the opportunity to speak further.

Edochie dismissed claims that the lawsuit had caused her sleepless nights, saying she had deliberately kept certain matters to herself despite having opportunities to discuss them publicly.

She explained that the lawsuit had now provided what she described as an opportunity to address issues she had previously chosen not to bring into the public space.

“This lawsuit dey give Rita Edochie sleepless night. Mee? As how nah? Nwa nne, na better opportunity wey I dey find to dey talk wetin I never talk dem give me so I don grab wella.”

The actress, however, said her immediate attention was on celebrating May Edochie’s birthday, describing it as more important before the reported court proceedings.

“29th is the code, but first, get ready for my great darling daughter’s birthday, Queen May Yul Edochie; that is more important.”

Edochie said she had been observing developments and deliberately remaining silent on several matters.

She added, “Observing and keeping a lot to myself. There are so many things I could have said before now, but I deliberately chose silence because I didn’t want to force certain conversations into the public space.”
