The future of newly capped Nigeria international winger Femi Azeez will be one of the stories to keep an eye on when the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
A star for the senior national team of Nigeria at the Unity Cup in the summer, where he made his international debut with two goals and an assist which helped the team to the title.
Earlier in the summer newly promoted Ipswich Town reportedly failed with a bid for his service, and Aston Villa were also rumoured to be on his chase as well as some teams in Italy.
However it’s Brighton that has been the most active in his pursuit with two failed bids, which has been rejected and latest report indicate that a third was also rejected.
Brighton’s latest bid for the 25 year old, is believed to be around £12m. Transfer expert David Ornstein posted: “Femi Azeez tells Millwall of wish to exit + join Brighton & Hove Albion after 3rd offer rejected.
“Latest proposal for right winger above £12m package; still under #Millwall valuation but #BHAFC pursuit ongoing & 25yo wants PL move granted.”
The BBC previously reported that fellow Championship club Wrexham are also keen on Azeez but the Nigerian wants a move to Brighton.
