A former bouncer who worked with Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel, Kelvin Power, has recounted an alleged encounter involving Afrobeats star Wizkid and an unnamed governor.
Kelvin shared the claim in a video while reflecting on his experiences working as a celebrity bouncer and the dangers that often come with protecting high-profile personalities.
According to him, a particular governor once invited Wizkid to his residence and allegedly presented the singer with a bag filled with dollars.
“A particular Governor once invited Wizkid to his house and gave him a bag full of dollar$.”
Kelvin, however, did not identify the governor or disclose how much money was allegedly inside the bag.
He further claimed that Wizkid did not keep the money for himself. Instead, the singer allegedly handed it over to his bodyguard.
“Wizkid didn’t touch a dime, he passed it to his bodyguard,” Kelvin said.
The former bouncer added that the bodyguard has since left Nigeria but would reportedly always remember Wizkid for what he described as the singer’s generous gesture.
“Today the bodyguard is no longer in Nigeria but he’ll never forget his helper.”
Kelvin did not disclose the identity of the bodyguard or provide additional information to independently verify the alleged incident.
While sharing the story, he also stressed the dangers associated with working as a celebrity bodyguard, noting that the job comes with significant risks.
“Body guard job is very risky.”
