For the latter, there’s a new space in Lagos to discover.
Coral at The Lofts is an indoor event venue within 234Loft on Oba Elegushi Private Beach, Oniru, created for intimate celebrations of up to 120 guests, depending on the chosen arrangement.
It is also the first fully indoor, climate-controlled event space at 234Loft, adding a new dimension to a destination previously centred around outdoor and beachfront experiences.
A space you can make your own
Rather than giving hosts a traditional hall with a fixed setup, Coral begins with a contemporary interior that can serve as the foundation for different occasions and aesthetics.
A textured stone feature wall with integrated warm lighting brings character to one side of the room, complemented by wood-look flooring and a dark slatted ceiling. Full-length drapery provides a softer backdrop around the space.
For a celebration, furniture can be removed or rearranged to accommodate the desired setup.
That could mean round tables for an intimate wedding reception, dinner or milestone birthday; theatre seating for a ceremony or programme; or an open floor for cocktails and dancing.
For more relaxed occasions, its existing lounge furniture — including velvet armchairs, channelled sofas and colourful ottomans creates an entirely different atmosphere without requiring a complete redesign.
Made for the practical side of celebrating, too
Of course, choosing a venue is about more than how it photographs.
Coral includes tables and chairs and is equipped with air conditioning, a sound system, speakers, a projector and screen, and event lighting.
