Some new OLED technologies have been unveiled at the ongoing IMID 2026 expo. The tech giant, Samsung, has showcased its new 7.6-inch foldable OLED panel with a wider viewing angle, as well as a 16-inch OLED panel with a 300Hz refresh rate for laptops.
The brand highlighted a 16-inch OLED panel that comes with a 2.5K resolution and up to a 300Hz variable refresh rate. Also, it features a 16:9 aspect ratio, making it ideal for high-end gaming laptops. It is the world’s first laptop OLED panel to reach such a high refresh rate.
However, there were no details about the panel as regards its peak as well as brightness levels. Being an OLED panel, it will give perfect inky blacks, pixel-level backlight control, and an infinite contrast ratio.
Furthermore, Samsung still unveiled 31.5-inch QD-OLED and 34-inch ultrawide QD-OLED panels, all fashioned for gaming monitors. For the 31.5-inch panel, it features a 4K resolution alongside a 360Hz variable refresh rate, while the 34-inch panel comes with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a matching 360Hz variable refresh rate as well.
