Nigeria youngster Zadok Yohanna earned himself high rating as Brighton and Hove Albion kicked off the new Premier League season with a dominant 4-0 win against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Yohanna was named among Brighton’s substitute in their opening fixture against Villa at the Amex.
The 19-year-old was then brought on for his debut with 12 minutes left to play as Brighton cruised to the perfect start.
The win means Brighton are top in the Premier League table thanks to their superior goals scored.
As compiled by DAZN, Yohanna got a rating of 6.2 for his performance in his debut in the English topflight.
Commenting on his display DAZN wrote:”Limited time but helped maintain defensive structure late on.”

Despite his limited time on the pitch, Yohanna made 11 Touches, had 5/5 accurate passes all in opposition half and 1/2 dribbles was successful.
Yohanna began his career at the Ikon Allah Football Academy in Nigeria before being recruited by Swedish club AIK in 2025, where he played in the first team during the 2026 season.
In June 2026, he signed for Brighton & Hove Albion for €28 million, breaking the Swedish transfer fee record.
In May 2026, Yohanna received his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles of Nigerian national team, which was set to participate in the four-nation Unity Cup tournament in London.
The following day, his club, AIK, announced that it had decided not to release him for international duty, as Yohanna was in a crucial final stage of his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
