Samsung is encouraged by the success of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, as it makes to launch two wide-format foldable phones next year. A new report from ET News reveals the tech giant is planning to launch five foldable smartphones next year. The two wide-format foldable devices will be among them. Also, the Galaxy Z Fold 9, the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, is also one of them. For the other new wide-format foldable phone, the name isn’t known yet.

Therefore, the names of the other three devices that are expected are: the Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 9, and Galaxy Z TriFold 2. The devices are to succeed the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z TriFold, respectively.

In 2024, Samsung launched only two smartphones with foldable displays. And now, it’s planning to launch five foldable phones in 2027. This shows the brand’s confidence in the foldable smartphone market.
