In a significant boost for Nigeria’s health technology sector,the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has entered into a partnership agreement with IfeanHealth Nigeria Limited to support the implementation of a pioneering 3D-Printed Prosthetics Programme for landmine victims in Nigeria.
The initiative is being executed in collaboration with Instalimb of Japan and focuses on transferring advanced Japanese prosthetics technology, strengthening local manufacturing capacity, and improving access to high-quality rehabilitation services.
As the only private-sector organization selected by UNIDO for contractual partnership, IfeanHealth will directly support this deployment of advanced Japanese 3D-printed prosthetics technology in Nigeria.
The partnership was formally signed ahead of strategic meetings held in Abuja last week involving senior officials from UNIDO, representatives from Instalimband IfeanHealth.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IfeanHealth, Mr. Ejike Anih, described the partnership as a major step forward for Nigeria’s emerging medical technology ecosystem.
