Totally Crushing on Lauryn Hill’s TWA

Honestly I am biased when it comes to Lauryn Hill, and I might add that I am not ashamed. Lauryn Hill is my girl in my head and yes she has my vote all day long. Lauryn recently performed at the Beverly Bond’s Rock! Like a Girl Concert this past weekend in Washington DC. She wore black, donned a red lip and had a signature TWA that looked just beautiful on her.

We like to see Celebs really rock a TWA and we don’t often see one that we can say we do not like. Lauryn Hill’s is no different, it just an effortless buzz cut with no special additives. There are other versions to a TWA though, and recently we have been seeing a lot of women getting very creative with their TWA’s to the point of not even wanting to grow their hair out for a while. #shorthairdontcare

We want to take this opportunity to outline a few creative options for your TWA.

The Lauryn Hill buzz cut – Just a simple overall even cut, no tapering. This might work for you if you just want to keep things all the way easy for yourself without the fuss of shaping your TWA into a style.

The fade or taper – If you have a little need for some fierceness, go into the barbershop and get faded. It is easier to pick what you want from pictures, pinterest is especially helpful, so check there first to see if they have something you might like.

Finger coils – Your hair will need to be long enough to coil around your finger, all you have to do is make sure your hair is clean and moisturized.
