The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Limited) has reported a ₦535 billion profit after tax for June 2026, showing stronger financial performance compared with the previous month.
The latest NNPC financial report revealed that the company’s June profit increased by 15.8 per cent from the ₦462 billion recorded in May. Total revenue reached ₦4.389 trillion during the month, while statutory payments to the Federation between January and June 2026 rose to ₦6.286 trillion.
The figures highlight NNPC Limited’s contribution to national revenue and its continued role in supporting Nigeria’s economy through the energy sector.
Average crude oil production and condensate output recorded a small decline, falling to 1.72 million barrels per day from 1.73 million barrels per day in May. The company linked the reduction to operational disruptions, facility integrity concerns and underground challenges affecting several assets.
However, natural gas production improved during the same period. Output increased to 7.841 million standard cubic feet per day from 7.774 million standard cubic feet per day in May, representing a 0.86 per cent rise.
The company also reported progress on key gas pipeline projects. The Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline reached 98 per cent completion, with final connection work underway before the planned First Gas target in August 2026.
Meanwhile, construction and installation work on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline advanced to 94 per cent completion. The project supports plans to deliver gas to Abuja in 2026.
The latest NNPC financial report reflects growth in profitability while the company continues developing major energy infrastructure across Nigeria.
