Jigawa Gov Reinstates 28 Aides, Appoints 8 New Officials

Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has approved the reinstatement of 28 political aides and the appointment of eight new aides in a move aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Bala Ibrahim, and made available to journalists on Tuesday in Dutse by the Public Relations Officer in the Office of the SSG, Ismaila Dutse.

According to the statement, the reinstatement covers 14 Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants and eight Special Assistants who previously served in the administration.

“The governor has approved the reinstatement of 14 Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants and eight Special Assistants to enhance governance in the state,” the SSG stated.

Among those reinstated as Special Advisers are Dr Atiku Hafiz on Public Health, Saleh Ahmed Birniwa on Youth Mobilisation, and Abdurrahman Alkassim on Local Government Affairs I.

Others include Haladu Usman, popularly known as “Killer”, on Project Monitoring, Khalid S. Ibrahim on Support Groups, and Dr Habib Aminu Kani on Technology and Innovation.

The list also includes Hudu Babangida on Senior Citizens, Safiyanu Abba Sankara on Health Matters, Haruna Mairiga on Social Security, and Ibrahim Hussaini Kadeta on Trade and Commerce.

Also reinstated are Ismaila Abdul’aziz on Microfinance Bank, Adamu Idris Andaza on Social Protection, Abdulwahab T. Sulaiman on SEMA, and Hassan Alhaji Musa, popularly known as “Shakara”, on Human Resources.

Among the reinstated Senior Special Assistants are Hamza Gada Bala on Assembly Matters, Husseini Umar BK on Industrial Relations, and Shu’aibu Inuwa Basirka on Nutrition.
