Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle is confident that George Ilenikhena will be a huge success with the team , OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The Al Ittihad striker who has scored four goals in his last five games, including in three consecutive games agreed to play for the senior national team of Nigeria after a chat with Chelle.
Born in Nigeria but raised in France, Chelle was able to convince the 19 year old that his international future is best with the Nigerian team, rather than wait for France.
Already Chelle is relishing the idea of having him alongside Victor Osimhen in his team’s attack, with sources saying he views the left footed striker as one that will be an instant hit.
Chelle is convinced that he will be a favourite of the fans , and help form a part of the future of the team that is targeting to win the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
