Lagos traffic has humbled experienced drivers, tested friendships and probably shortened a few lifespans. So naturally, I started wondering: what would happen if our favourite anime characters were thrown into Lagos traffic?
Forget cursed spirits, demons and world-ending villains. Those problems are child’s play. Try surviving Third Mainland Bridge at rush hour.
Today, we are putting some of anime’s strongest characters through the ultimate Nigerian survival challenge. Their powers matter, but so do their patience, mental strength and ability to deal with that driver who suddenly decides to create a fourth lane.
Let’s see who survives.
1. Gojo Satoru: 10/10
Honestly, Gojo has the best chance of surviving. His Infinity technique means that anything approaching him slows down before reaching him. In other words, that danfo trying to squeeze into his lane is going nowhere.
Someone honking behind him? Ignored. Another driver trying to overtake from the shoulder? Still ignored. Traffic that has not moved for 45 minutes? Now we have a problem.
Gojo can defeat curses, but even Infinity might not protect him from the psychological damage of staring at the same bus for two hours.
Verdict: Survives, but questions his life choices.
2. Naruto Uzumaki: 10/10
Naruto doesn’t need a car. He has Shadow Clones.
Imagine being stuck in traffic and simply creating 20 versions of yourself. One clone stays in the car. Another finds a shortcut. Another goes to buy food. Another checks Google Maps. One might even walk to the destination and send updates.
At this point, Naruto isn’t surviving Lagos traffic. He’s outsourcing it.
Verdict: Easily survives.
3. Luffy: 9/10
Luffy’s rubber body would come in handy. He could stretch his arms across traffic, pull himself past…
