Apple hasn’t unveiled its first foldable iPhone (the iPhone Ultra) that’s expected to debut in September, but there are already reports of the company planning its second and even third-generation successors.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is already planning a second-gen foldable iPhone for next year. The report adds that an earlier rumour claimed the second-gen model would maintain the same design as its predecessor.
Gurman adds that Apple has started the development of a third-generation foldable iPhone. It’s expected to bring larger displays on both the cover as well as the inside.
Nevertheless, the exact screen sizes were not contained in the report. But it’s expected that Apple’s first foldable iPhone will come with a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.8-inch foldable inner screen as well.
