Ease Of Doing Business: Kwara Hosts Investment Summit

Kwara State Commissioner for Finance, Dr Hauwa Nuru, has disclosed that the State is steadily building a stronger foundation for commerce through public-private partnerships, institutional reforms, digitalisation, and improvements in the business environment.

Speaking in Ilorin at the Investment Summit – 2026, which was organised by the State Ease of Doing Business Council (EODBC), Dr Nuru said: “Kwara State, under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been repositioned to create a more transparent, efficient and investor-friendly business environment.”

Dr Nuru, who is the Chairman of the Council, said the body was created by this government not just to improve its procedures on economic activities, but also to build the confidence of people to invest, expand, and succeed.

The Commissioner said, apart from its strategic location that stands a chance to attract investments, the government is committed to investing in basic infrastructure that offers opportunities for investors to seek long-term growth and sustainable returns.

“Our gathering today is not simply another conference. It is a declaration of confidence in Kwara State. A confidence built on a clear vision, deliberate reforms and a growing determination to transform our enormous potential into measurable economic results,” she said.

“Across agriculture and agro-processing, manufacturing, solid minerals, logistics, renewable energy, healthcare, education, hospitality, real estate, technology and the creative economy, Kwara offers opportunities for investors seeking long-term growth and sustainable returns.
