Baze University Takes Aviation Training to New Heights

Baze University, Abuja, is advancing the establishment of a major Aviation School at its Bwari campus, a landmark project designed to expand aviation education and flight-training capacity in Nigeria and across Africa.
Conceived years ago, as part of the vision of the University’s Founder and Chancellor, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, PhD, FSAN, the project reflects his ambition to build an institution capable of addressing critical gaps in specialised education and human-capital development.

Baze University, established in 2011, has grown from a modest beginning into a broad-based university with a rapidly expanding academic and infrastructural footprint. The Aviation School represents the next phase of that expansion-and a response to the persistent shortage of aviation training capacity on the continent.

Located on approximately 88 hectares of land in Bwari, Abuja, the development is nearing completion and is being designed as a comprehensive aviation training complex. Its core infrastructure will include a modern dedicated runway for flight training, a hangar for aircraft storage and technical support, a terminal building, flight-operations and planning facilities, classrooms and briefing rooms, aviation laboratories, a library and learning-resource centre, simulation and training facilities, instructor offices, student support facilities and the associated safety, security, communications and ground-support infrastructure required for a modern aviation training institution.
