Kelvin Ezenyili, the chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area in Delta State, has called for stronger collaboration among government, private organizations and community stakeholders towards caring for children with special needs.

Ezenyili posited that supporting children with special needs should not be left to government or charitable organisations alone even as he urged individuals, businesses, corporate bodies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to contribute towards building a more inclusive society for the children.

Ezenyili made the call recently while welcoming Tobore Oborevwori, the wife of the Delta State Governor and founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation (FMCF) during the foundation’s

free medical outreach for children with autism and other special needs in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.

He called on NGOs, private sector operators and well-meaning individuals to support the YMCF in its efforts to improve the welfare of children living with autism, disabilities and other special needs across Delta State.

According to him, the collaborations and support would help expand access to healthcare, assistive devices, education and other forms of support for children with special needs.
