C2E Sports Academy are the 2026 NWFL Nationwide champions after defeating Obosa Queens FA 2-1 in the final at Enyimba Stadium on Sunday, www.aclsports.com reports.
C2E Sports Academy took the lead in the 11th minute through Agnes Ohuche, who scored her 10th goal of the campaign and found the net in each of her side’s four matches. Nina Ude doubled their advantage in the 30th minute as C2E Sports Academy went into the break with a 2-0 lead.
Obosa Queens FA pulled one back just two minutes after the restart through Saidat Idowu, who struck in the 47th minute to give her side hope of a comeback. C2E Sports Academy, however, held on to secure a 2-1 victory and lift the NWFL Nationwide trophy after winning all four of their matches.
Both sides will compete in the 2027 NWFL Championship after clinching the two promotion spots with their respective semi-final victories.
