The live session arrives in the middle of a victory lap that’s been decades in the making. Dogstar, the alt-rock trio featuring bassist Keanu Reeves, released a live version of “Can’t Hardly Wait” as part of their Live at Apple Music Radio EP . The band recorded the session for The Travis Mills Show, and it captures a group that has found its footing again after a twenty-year hiatus .

Dogstar formed in 1991 after Reeves and drummer Robert Mailhouse met in a supermarket and bonded over hockey . They added guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose in 1994, and the band spent the mid-90s opening for David Bowie and Bon Jovi, and performing at Glastonbury . After a run of releases including Our Little Visionary and Happy Ending, Dogstar broke up in 2002 . The reunion didn’t happen until the COVID-19 pandemic brought them back together for jam sessions that turned into songwriting sessions . The band officially announced their return in 2022 .

The Live at Apple Music Radio EP arrives on the heels of their 2026 album All In Now, which was released on May 29 . The band has been touring in support of the album . The live session captures a band that has aged into its sound, a reminder that some reunions are worth the wait .
