Reese Makes History with Perfect Shooting
Reese’s night was already historic before the final buzzer.
She entered halftime having gone 8-for-8 from the field while recording at least 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists. That made her the first player in WNBA history to reach those numbers in a half without missing a shot.
She eventually finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, producing one of the most complete games of her career. Her three steals further highlighted her impact on both ends of the floor.
What made the performance particularly notable was the combination of volume and efficiency. Reese did not need a high number of attempts to reach 20 points. She converted every shot she took, including two from long range, while continuing to make an impact as a rebounder and facilitator.
For a player whose game has traditionally been built around physicality and dominance around the basket, the offensive versatility was impossible to overlook.
