Top division Belgium side Zulte Waregem have completed the process of signing talented Nigerian teen Musa Maliq Omotayo from Nigeria Premier Football League side Ikorodu City, OwnGoalNigeria.com reported.
The left footed winger who turned 18 yesterday passed a routine medical and is expected to be announced as a new player of Zulte Waregem in the coming hours.
As a matter of fact he has already started training with the team, where he hopes to follow in the footsteps of Nigerian players who have used the league to make their mark in European football.
Reports say he turned down a trial chance with Barcelona for a straight deal with the Belgians. Teams in England were also keen on signing him after his breakthrough season last term in the NPFL.
Described as explosive, crafty and with an eye for goals. He made the step up from the popular Lagos TCC league to the league side.
