In Nigeria’s foodsystem, thousands of organisations, institutions and individuals are working to address challenges ranging from food production and market access to soil health, climate change, post-harvest losses and food security.
Yet, despite the volume of work taking place, development communication professional Feyi Adurogbangba believes there is a fundamental challenge that does not receive enough attention: the system is not communicating impact made enough.
Her experience working within the agricultural development space has shown her that valuable knowledge, innovations and lessons often remain within the organisations or projects that generate them. At the same time, different actors can sometimes work on similar problems without knowing what others are doing.
The result, she believes, can be silos, duplication of efforts, fragmented interventions and missed opportunities for collaboration.
It is this conviction that has led her to build Keselash Agricom, a strategic food systems communication and storytelling consultancy with a broader ambition: to use communication to connect people, knowledge and possibilities across the food system.
