Saudi giants Al-Hilal target Victor Osimhen in fresh summer transfer push

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have renewed their interest in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they look to boost their attack ahead of the new season.

The Saudi club are reportedly exploring a fresh move for the Super Eagles forward as they consider the future of former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

According to Sky Sport Switzerland, Al-Hilal are closely monitoring Osimhen’s situation and could make another attempt to sign the 27-year-old Nigerian before the summer transfer window closes.

Osimhen emerges as Al-Hilal target

Al-Hilal’s renewed interest comes after Osimhen established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Turkish football since joining Galatasaray.

The Nigerian has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances across all competitions for the Turkish giants, becoming one of the club’s most influential players.

His performances have continued to attract interest from major clubs in Europe and the Middle East, despite Galatasaray securing his permanent transfer from Napoli last summer.

Saudi giants revive pursuit

Al-Hilal were among the clubs to pursue Osimhen aggressively last summer.

The Saudi side reportedly offered the striker a salary package worth about €45 million per year, but Osimhen opted to remain in Europe and joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal worth €75 million.

With Al-Hilal now considering changes to their attacking department, the club are reportedly prepared to reopen discussions…
