Aba Blues is one film you will truly enjoy. At first, it seemed like a film that might disappoint, but it ended up getting a rating of 7.6/10 from us.
The best part about this movie that endeared us to it is that it is not your typical star-studded film. Instead, it is filled with the right actors who fit their roles perfectly. Don’t get us wrong, Aba Blues still features some notable names like Odunlade Adekola, Patience Ozokwor, Eucharia Anunobi Ekwu, Bimbo Akintola, and Toni Tones. Other cast members in the movie directed by Jack’enneth Opukeme include Angel Anosike, Martha Ehinome, Nelson Enwerem, David Ezekiel, Toluwani George, Chuks Joseph, and Charles Okafor.
Aba Blues tells the story of a newlywed woman, Amara, who loved her affectionate husband, Uzor, but was unaware that her heart still belonged to the past until the reappearance of her ex-boyfriend. This led her down a path that left her caught between the old and the new.

However, the reason became clearer when we discovered that Amara became pregnant as a single girl, an act her prophetess mother deemed shameful, which led to an abortion.
Aba Blues is so unpredictable. It leaves you in moments where you find yourself rooting for the marriage between Uzor and Amara. However, in the next scene, you find yourself wanting Amara to return to her ex-boyfriend, Dirim, after hearing his sincere apology. The directors deserve commendation for the movie’s tension, which kept us all on edge. One such moment…
