The upcoming iPhone Air 2 is no longer a secret as more details about the phone surface. The latest one comes from Jeff Pu, Investment analyst, in a new research note with GF Securities. It’s expected that the device will be released next year during the first quarter.
Jeff Pu adds that the iPhone Air 2 will be powered by the A20 Pro chip, same with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Also, the chip will be made using TSMC’s 2nm process.
The device will also come with a smaller dynamic island than the original iPhone Air. It will receive a 48MP ultrawide camera to complement its main shooter. The iPhone Air 2 will feature Apple’s N2 chip for wireless networking, while is believed to be better than the iPhone Air’s N1, that supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. Also, it’s expected that the N2 will still enhance the reliability of AirDrop and Personal Hotspot as well.
Additionally, the iPhone Air 2 will use Apple’s C2 modem for 5G mobile network connectivity. This is still expected to feature in the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in some markets. Pu still adds that the iPhone Air 2, like its predecessor, will bring the same 6.5-inch screen, 12GB of RAM, as well as 18MP selfie camera.
