A Grammy-nominated singer who has spent years moving between the worlds of contemporary R&B and the quiet intensity of the singer-songwriter tradition, DESTIN CONRAD has released his latest project, ROADRUNNER, on August 21, 2026, via EMPIRE. The album is a deliberate shift toward a sound that has always been part of his identity but has never been the focus of his work. “ROADRUNNER is really a homecoming for me,” the Florida-born artist said in a statement. “My Jamaican heritage has always been a huge part of who I am, and tapping into reggae and dancehall just felt like the most natural way to express that” .

The project is a 13-track exploration of his Jamaican roots, a departure from the polished R&B of his 2024 album Love On Digital. That album, which featured collaborations with Kehlani, Lil Nas X, and Teezo Touchdown, earned him his first Grammy nomination . But ROADRUNNER is a different kind of statement. It is built on a foundation of reggae and dancehall rhythms, pulling from the sounds of the Jamaican diaspora and filtering them through the lens of a singer who has spent years refining his craft.
