Barcelona complete £8.6m Gabriel Jesus signing
Brazil international Gabriel Jesus has completed his move from Arsenal to Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona in a deal worth £8.6 million (€10 million).
The 29-year-old has signed a contract with Barcelona until June 2029 after four years at Arsenal.
Jesus joined the Gunners from Manchester City for £45 million in July 2022 and made 123 appearances across all competitions, scoring 32 goals.
He made 27 appearances during Arsenal’s Premier League-winning campaign but started just three league matches last season after struggling with injuries.
Jesus missed most of the 2024/25 season after suffering an ACL injury in January 2025.
The forward has won 64 caps for Brazil but has not featured for the national team since November 2023.
Aston Villa seal £47m deal for PSG winger Mbaye
Aston Villa have completed the signing of 18-year-old Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain for €55 million (£47 million).
Mbaye scored three goals and provided two assists in 31 appearances last season as PSG retained their Ligue 1 and Champions League titles.
The teenager also featured in all four of Senegal’s matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring in a 3-1 defeat to France, becoming the youngest African player to score at a men’s World Cup.
Mbaye joined PSG from FC Versailles in 2018 and progressed through the club’s academy before making his senior debut in August 2024 at the age of 16.
Born in France, Mbaye represented Les Bleus at the youth level before switching allegiance to Senegal in 2025 through his father.
