Olusoji Elias, PhD, a Nigerian-British global corporate lawyer, has been formally inducted into the Corporate LiveWire Platinum Hall of Fame following a successful legal career spanning nearly four decades across Western capital markets and Africa’s industrial sectors.
The Platinum Hall of Fame is an elite recognition tier under the Corporate LiveWire framework, reserved for individuals and organisations that demonstrate sustained market leadership by securing top honours for three or more consecutive years.
Elias’s induction follows a string of global accolades, including his selection as United Kingdom African Lawyer of the Year and Global Corporate Lawyer of the Year across the 2024 to 2026 award cycles.
Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985, Elias built his academic foundation across premier British institutions. He earned his LLB at the London School of Economics in 1984, obtained an LLM with Distinction from the University of Hull in 1986, credentials from The Hague Academy of International Law in 1989, and a PhD from University College London in 1996.
His doctoral thesis- ‘Judicial Remedies in the Conflict of Laws’ was published by Oxford’s Hart Publishing in 2001, featuring a foreword by the late British Law Lord, Lord Wilberforce.
Alongside his scholarly publications, Elias lectured at Britishuniversities throughout the 1990s and delivered the Autumn Lecture for the Society for Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London in 2000.
Most notably, Barack Obama, former United States president often cited his published legal commentary verbatim in official White House addresses.
