In the past, Samsung collaborated with many luxury brands with the purpose of developing special editions of its popular devices.
According to a new report from South Korea, there’s a likelihood that before long, Samsung will announce a similar collaboration for the Galaxy Z Fold 8. It’s interesting to know that in the past, the company has made Thom Browne editions for its Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold devices. Also in 2013, the brand made a Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela edition.
Reports have it that Samsung wants to capitalise on the popularity of the wide foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, by launching a luxury brand edition of it.
However, it wasn’t revealed in the report which brand Samsung will likely go with. Although there’s a possibility of seeing the brand’s iconic Americana stripes on Samsung’s foldables, given its long collaboration with Thom Browne on foldables.
The report adds that Samsung will likely launch the device in the second half of the year. Just like with the previous branded editions, there’s the possibility this device will be available in limited quantities and only in select markets.
Nevertheless, Samsung is yet to release an official announcement in that regard.
