Africa’s financial system is entering a new phase of growth as digital payments, fintech innovation, institutional capital and regulatory reforms reshape the continent’s investment landscape, with the digital payments economy projected to reach $1.5 trillion by 2030.

Against this backdrop, FDX by GITEX is set to convene regulators, institutional investors, financial institutions, enterprises and startups in Lagos on September 3, 2026, to examine how capital, technology and policy can be deployed to deepen financial inclusion and expand investment opportunities across Africa.

The summit, held at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, is part of GITEX NIGERIA, West Africa’s largest technology, artificial intelligence and startup event, taking place across Abuja and Lagos from August 31 to September 3, 2026.

Held under the patronage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GITEX NIGERIA is supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), endorsed by the Lagos State Government and organised by KAOUN International.

Mobilising Capital for Nigeria’s Growth

From a capital market perspective, FDX by GITEX comes at a time when Nigeria and other African economies are seeking to mobilise larger pools of domestic and international capital to finance infrastructure, businesses and long-term economic development.

The summit will focus on connecting policymakers and regulators with investors, financial institutions and technology companies, with discussions expected to cover digital assets, capital markets, cross-border finance, financial infrastructure and new models for expanding access to financial services.
