On August 20, Supreme’s Chief Creative Officer, Erin Magee, announced that she was leaving the New York-based streetwear label following 22 years with them. This marks the end of one of the most important periods in the brand’s creative history. In a post on Instagram, Magee stated: “It has been the honor of a lifetime to be part of the World Famous Supreme Team.” Her decision to leave is voluntary, and people close to her believe that she is now going to devote her attention to Mademe, the women’s streetwear label she set up in 2007. She has steadily built the label through the 2020s, with collaborations involving Doc Martens, Alpha Industries, and the band Hole, led by Courtney Love.
