Hello everyone! I’m 30 years old woman from Bluefield, WV. My occupation is a Bank Teller at the Credit Union & I absolutely love it! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing.

What’s your story, how did you get to where you are?

When I was a child, my mom from time to time would get someone to do my hair in box braids. I noticed every time I took the braids out, my hair grew some.

Back in January 2013, I got my ends cut and decided to let my hair grow out and this brought back memories of when my hair use to grow when I got braids. In February 2013, I got a sew in, I wasn’t happy with my sew in so I took it out a month later.

My friend then told me about a friend of hers that sells remy virgin hair and she does the sew in as well. In May 2013, I got her friend to do my hair, I was so happy with the results, I kept the hair in til August. My hair grew a lot!

In September 2013, the doctor informed me that I will have to undergo major surgery in October. I didn’t want to be bothered with my hair while I was in the hospital and when I was recovering, so I decided to get box braids. I relaxed 3 days after I took out my braids, my hair grew so much! This is the longest my hair has every been!

What is your typical weekly regimen?

I wrap my hair every single night with a silky scarf. I do not put too much product in my hair and I wash my hair every other week.

Are you happy with your progress so far?

Yes I’m very happy! I love how protective hairstyles helps my hair grow!
